    Leeroy Jenkins in RL

    By Daniel Yerelian | October 27, 2009

This is nice, but the original WoW video is still way better. It’s included below because I wanted to see it again anyway.

    Love it.

A beautiful waste: PS3 vs Bravia

    By Ryan McGee | October 21, 2009

Brain… hurts… Sony Australia has created a promo video that simultaneously oozes style and makes my inner detective Adrian Monk cringe and gnash its teeth.

I keep my 60GB US launch PS3 in a closed door cabinet, have rarely touched it directly with my hands, and regularly dust it with compressed air… Hey, it’s the best PS3 model ever, and they don’t make ’em anymore. At least it’s the slim model slowly catapulting across the room in a gorgeous ultra high-speed capture framerate. ;-D

A high speed destruction of Sony’s objects of desire in the name of marketing… How does it make you feel?

Machinarium – Immerse yourself in rich visual and aural artistry

    By Ryan McGee | October 20, 2009

like Michael Abbott said, Hand-drawn nirvana

like Michael Abbott said, Hand-drawn nirvana

Ironically, it wasn’t the visual splendor that struck me first about Machinarium. Perhaps it was the gathering haze in my head brought on by a late night and busy weekend’s end, but as I clicked around the beautifully dystopic vistas of Amanita Designs’ latest masterpiece, the background music and sounds were almost hypnotic… minimalist, atmospheric… beautiful.

1st Hand Account of Gaming Addiction

    By Daniel Yerelian | October 19, 2009

Found this great article over at Kotaku

It deals with the addiction effects seen from certain peoples MMO’s experiences. I myself wasted countless hours with EQ, WoW and 1st person shooters. I’ve un installed and re installed games so many times the cd’s are getting worn down. The article is a great read.

Nice Dungeons and Dragons Concepts via Microsoft Surface – This looks pretty cool, though it will always fun to hand draw maps and imagine your creatures and terrain.

    Hands On: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

    By Lance Yerelian | October 26, 2007

Sorry about the long absence but a combination of laziness and the San Diego fires kept me away, but I am back with a preview of one of the Fall’s most exciting games and possibly the first AAA for the PS3.

I am sure you are asking yourself how someone you’ve never heard of, with little writing talent got some hands on time with Sony’s highly anticipated title. It is simple, just be lucky and be at Fry’s while there is a Sony bus there with their tons of games, including Ratchet and Clank, Madden, Lair, and other PS3 games. When Uncharted was finally free I stepped over to the screen and got my chance to play PS3’s AAA fall release.

    Come Fly With Warhawk

    By Zach Sprague | September 25, 2007

Warhawk for the PlayStation 3 is an incredible game . For those not familiar with Warhawk, the game is developed by Incognito
    Entertainment
for online combat. The Warhawk itself is an advanced jet fighter. It can hover, has afterburners, and is capable of carrying an array of offensive and defensive weaponry, mostly for air to air combat, but some designed for air to ground attacks. When not in the Warhawk you get to run around in third person view and utilize jeeps, tanks, fixed SAM and Flak Cannons, as well as many anti-personnel and anti-vehicle weaponry to annihilate your opponents.

The game ships with 5 different maps which scale depending on how many max players the server is set to allow. There are four game modes, Death Match (Free for All), Team Death Match (Team based frag fest), Capture the Flag, and Zones. The Death Match scenarios are intense and fast paced with as many as 32 vs 32 jets flying through the skies. In “capture the flag” your team must take strategic points to either defend your flag/base or capture the enemies flag. In “zone”, your team captures positions and gains points over time while your team continues to hold those positions.
